Child Safety Policy for Kora
Overview
At Kora, we are committed to ensuring the safety of all users, particularly children, on our platform. As an app in the Dating category on Google Play, we adhere to the Google Play Child Safety Standards policy to prevent child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This policy outlines our standards, in-app mechanisms, and commitment to compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Definitions
- Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE): CSAE includes any content or behavior that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children. This encompasses activities such as grooming a child for sexual exploitation, sextortion, trafficking of a child for sexual purposes, or any other form of sexual exploitation.
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): CSAM refers to any visual depiction, including photos, videos, or computer-generated imagery, involving a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct. CSAM is illegal and prohibited on our platform in accordance with Google Play’s Terms of Service.
Our Commitment to Child Safety
To comply with Google Play’s Child Safety Standards policy, Kora has implemented the following measures:
- Published Standards:
- We maintain a publicly accessible web resource outlining our policies and standards regarding CSAE and CSAM. This resource is available at kalletech.com/community-guidelines.
- The resource is functional, relevant to child safety, and clearly references Kora as it appears on our Google Play store listing.
- Our standards are detailed in our Community Guidelines, which include specific policies on preventing and addressing CSAE and CSAM.
- In-App Feedback Mechanism:
- We provide an in-app mechanism for users to report concerns related to CSAE or CSAM without leaving the app. Users can access this feature through a dedicated reporting form inside the call page. An “⋮” icon at the top of the call screen opens a dropdown with a “Report User” button, where users can select a reason and add a note.
- Reported concerns are promptly reviewed by our moderation team, and we take appropriate action in accordance with our policies and applicable laws.
- Taking Appropriate Action:
- Upon obtaining actual knowledge of CSAM or CSAE within our app, we take swift action to remove such content and address the offending account in accordance with our published standards and relevant legal requirements.
- Actions may include content removal, account suspension, or reporting to appropriate authorities as required by law.
- Designated CSAM Point of Contact:
- We have designated a point of contact for CSAM-related matters. For inquiries or reports, please contact Kalle at kalle@kalletech.com.
- This individual is responsible for addressing CSAM prevention practices and ensuring compliance with Google Play’s Child Safety Standards policy.
Compliance with Global Norms
Our child safety standards are aligned with global best practices, including those outlined by the Tech Coalition Child Safety Standards. We work closely with our legal team to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations concerning CSAM and child safety.
Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behavior in Kora that you believe violates our child safety policies, please report it immediately through our in-app reporting mechanism or by contacting our CSAM point of contact at kalle@kalletech.com.
